The 'Space Gods' arrive and are startled when they find out what the exact situation is on Earth, having never encountered Darkness Devices or invading realms before.
The Star Sphere is governed by the Akashan race - a highly developed form of humanity who possess well developed psionic abilities, and who utilise 'clean' bio-technology, disdaining dirty, environmentally unfriendly low technology.
The Akashans perform a self appointed task as governers of galactic harmony, and make contact with any intelligent races they discover who they feel are ready to join their society.
Beneath the Akashans are a number of less well developed 'Client Races', many of whom have been genetically altered at the hands of Akashan Bio-Engineers.
These include the Draygakk - a draconian race, reknowned for their tendency to lose all control in a wild frenzy; the Gudasko, primitive furred humanoids who live in a loose tribal structure, but who can not understand the concept of central authority; the Larendi - avian humanoids who despise dirty technology even more than the Akashans do; and the Lorbaat, a race of militant beetle like creatures.
In addition, this realm is different from the invading ones, in that its presence is not destructive to the well-being of Earth. The Akashans have, however, inadvertently brought with them a horrific psionic disease that now threatens large tracts of South America, and ultimately the entire world.
