State of the Realm

A wild, primitive and highly spiritual world, inhabited mainly by the Edeinos (intelligent bipedal lizards), who follow a religion called Keta Kalles, teachings of the Goddess Lanala. Lanala is the creator of Life, and rewards those of her worshippers who experience it to the full, giving them access to powerful miracles. It is taboo amongst her followers to have dealings with 'dead things' - those things which are not of Lanala.

'Dead things' include crafted tools (except those which grow naturally such as Hrockt Spears) and non-Lanala worshippers. Followers of Keta Kalles will try to bring 'dead' people to life, by overwhelming them with the sensations of life - sight, sound, smell and touch. If a creature refuses to be awakened to the way of Lanala, then it is slain.

Huge sections of North America (both the US and Canada) have fallen to the invading forces of this cosm. Technology above the level of "stone knives and bearskins" doesn't function here, and neither does magic. The natives of this realm possess amazing levels of spiritual power, making them more than a match for the suddenly helpless North American militia they're fighting.

Within the realm are many resistance communities, where the former inhabitants try to hold on to their homes, these communities are often attacked by the creatures of the Living Land
